this website turns one today

i wrote this post on the day i deployed the site for the first time

i wrote in that post reasons why i made this website

one more reason i'll add is that I had discovered aider and wanted to try it on something and this site ended up being that something

claude sonnet 3.5 came out on june 24, 2024 and was clearly now looking back an inflection point for coding models

it was the first model that made tools like aider actually worth using - it was the first to cross some invisible threshold

one year later we have cursor, claude code, + 100 more

see you in one year

there's now been a thought floating in my head for a month or maybe more of doing a video series equivalent of these writings

like this site, it would be mainly for me and people i happen to share it with - though available to the public anyway

coincidentally/independently my brother pablo started doing this same type of video journal thing this week

he's doing more long form stream of consciousness on youtube though and i think i would like to stick to a vaguely predefined idea prior and maybe do it on some instagram account

kinda like how my friend carter does except without the goal of gaining an audience

• though one thing i am curious about is if instagram algo would pick it up at all
